All Things Cheltenham Podcast Farewell
I’m making a simple announcement with a big reason behind it: I’m stopping the All Things Cheltenham podcast. The listen numbers have dropped over time, and while that’s normal for many local shows, I can’t justify splitting my time when another Cheltenham project is exploding with demand.
That project is Events In Cheltenham, and it has quickly become the most useful thing I can build for the town. I’ve set up a website, social channels, and an online calendar at eventsincheltenham.co.uk so you can actually find what’s on without digging. I’m talking pub quizzes, local garage sales, car boot sales, and the kind of church cake and plant sale you only hear about after it’s finished. These community events often don’t have a proper place to advertise, so they get missed even though they’re exactly what makes Cheltenham feel alive.
If you organise an event, or you know someone who does, the best part is that submissions are free. Head to the website and use the “submit your event” button, fill in the form, and I’ll take it from there. I’m grateful to everyone who has listened to the podcast, and I hope this new focus helps you discover something in Cheltenham you genuinely didn’t know existed.

SPEAKER_00Hello, it's Reg here from All Things Cheltenham and this is an announcement podcast, not the actual regular news, events and sports. The reason being if you haven't seen my latest in uh all things Cheltenham Instagram post and my Facebook post, you would not know that this is actually a podcast saying that I am now shutting and stopping the All Things Cheltenham podcast side of things. There is a reason. One numbers have dropped dramatically, which in a way is understandable, this does happen, but I started another channel on Instagram for interest called Events in Cheltenham, where I was highlighting and reposting resharing events that are happening around Cheltenham, and it's just gone mental. Um, so I'm now also have a Facebook page I've just started. I have a calendar which is online. You can find that at eventsincheltenham.co.uk and it's all getting very busy, and it's keeping me really busy, more so than the all things cheltenham podcast. So I think I am now, well I know I am going to be doing that instead. The podcast for All Things Cheltenham was slowing down. I probably would have stopped it at some point. But be to being the fact that events in Cheltenham has now gone mad, I need want to concentrate on that, and I think that's an area that is probably a lot more popular because it's very hard to find events in Cheltenham like the pub quizzes, like a local garage sale, a car boot sale, or um a cake and plant sale at a local church. They don't have anywhere to really advertise a great deal. So if you happen to listen to this and you are organizing an event in Cheltenham or you know someone who is, please let them know about eventsincheltenham.co.uk and that's available on the website, it's available on Instagram, it's available on Facebook, they can get in touch, and the good thing is, in fact, if they go to the website, they can actually submit their event for free, it's all for free, um, just by clicking on the submit your event button on the front page and filling out the form, and I will take it from there.
